When we become your lawyers

Reading this website does not make us your lawyers. Neither does calling us, sending us a message through the case review form, or telling us about your situation.

An attorney-client relationship is created only when we and you both agree that we will represent you, in a signed written agreement. Until that happens, we are not acting for you and no deadline in your case is being protected by us.

That last point matters more than the rest of this page. Legal claims have deadlines, and some of them are far shorter than people expect. If you have contacted us and have not received a signed agreement, assume your deadlines are still running and follow up with us or with another lawyer.

Information you send us before we are engaged

We treat what you tell us as confidential, and we do not publish clients’ stories or name individuals on this website. However, information sent to us before we have agreed to represent you may not be protected in the same way as information from an existing client, and we may already be acting for someone else involved in the same matter.

For that reason, please do not send us documents or detailed confidential material until we have confirmed that we can consider your case.

Results

Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Every case depends on its own facts, its own evidence and its own law, and no lawyer can promise you a particular result.

Our attorneys are admitted to practice in the states shown on their individual profiles, which you can read on our attorneys page. We do not seek to represent anyone in a jurisdiction where doing so would not be permitted.
